Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini (GT-I8190)

Symptoms: Stuck at Samsung logo or Kies error screen
Errors: movi_write card_status:0 start_blk, unable to mount internal storage, /system and /data showing as 0 MB, unable to do factory reset
Most threads recommend more or less the same: wipe, use Odin to flash some recovery (stock, cwm, twrp) and ROM (dozens of stock versions or custom). None of that worked due to the storage problem.
Solution: flash goldenxx.pit, then twrp, then repair and format file system (in that order).
Result: Working fine

Samsung Exhibit II 4G (SGH-T679)

Symptoms: AOIP logo turns blank screen after flashing wrong recovery (TWRP for T759)
Errors: Odin stuck setting up connection
Most threads recommend more or less the same: wipe, use Odin to flash some recovery (stock, cwm, twrp) and ROM (dozens of stock versions or custom). None of that worked as recovery was unavailable and Odin 3.09 could not establish a proper connection. JTAG was another alternative.

Solution: reverting back to stock with Odin 4.43

Result: mix of stock and Peach Sunrise

Tablet is working fine, smooth and stable. Phones are unstable, some features are unavailable. Benefits of KitKat are negated by old hardware and stability issues.
